When Stephen opened the Hideout in 1991, FedEx was part of the standard operating procedure and the fax was just coming into its own. Now the internet is almost as important as a camera. Working with clients internationally from the Columbus location, Stephen has been using this communication technology at full tilt since 1994, constantly tweaking the procedures to make it faster and more client-friendly. Through confidential work-in-progress websites, and monitored FTP downloads, clients can privately view images as they take form, thus creating a virtual studio on the art director's desktop.
